This question is really not that hard to answer. I have worked as a Mental Health professional for the past 14 years and when we face situations where a person with severe and persistent mental illness wishes to carry her baby to full term and she cannot stop taking her meds because doing so will cause her to present as a danger to herself or others, the state intervenes. They admit her to an inpatient psychiatric facility until she delivers the baby. This way her and the baby are cared for, they administer meds that do not harm the baby, and no one gets hurt.
