If she does not know, she soon will. That incident had to be disclosed to her next of kin since it could have been bruised from the fall. It is usually wrapped in three separate plastic bags with slush around it. The surgeons would have known if it looked bruised, anyway, it is evidently working just fine. Resilient and kind of...bouncy.....it will give her something to talk about ! These guys need to be more careful with the coolers.
Plain and simple, tape the cooler shut. Or use one that locks. This is an amazing story for her though. I am happy to see the a young life was saved due to a death of another.
somedude: good one. It's not like she can ask to exchange or get her money back. I think when I have seen the coolers leaving our morgue, not hearts but eyes, skin and such, are taped shut with a tape that says there are organs within. I think they are sealed so no one tampers with them, as in keep opening them shortening the time line for use. Or contaminating them.

Tape? Break-away lock, ziptie, SOMETHING!!
Glad the operation went well.
Well, the part about the dog chase was never reported. Sorry, bad joke... :)
Wishing her a prompt and happy recovery, dropped heart of not.
D'oh! It's just a little dirty... It's still good
How insensitive to tell the whole world someone's private information before she even knows what happened to her.
Oops, the cat is out of the bag. She knows now.
...if you're going to get surgery in Mexico...would it even matter??????
Mexico, especially in the cities, has quite excellent health care. And far less lawsuits than America.
ALL THAT and they don't have the heart to tell her! jeSus!
I'm sure she'll feel disheartened when she finds out what happened.
5 second rule ! it's still good It's still good !

Or she can just read the news...
Have a heart...anyone can make a mistake. Here's to a heartfelt recovery...
The medical team may have fumbled, but they still won the game!
