I can't imagine the FDA banning a drug because it's too expensive. Personally I would never touch this stuff. We're losing sight of the forest for the trees. We're conditioned to believe that the meaning of life is to avoid cancer at all costs. This instills fear in us and makes us vulnerable to scare-tactic marketing. Personally, I'd have the mastectomy and forget the drugs. They may "kill" cancer but they are just as deadly to your immune system. If I ever get cancer, I want to keep my immune system intact, thank you.
Avastin does not work on the immune system but prevents angiogenisis (vessel formation) that allows cancer to spread. It was not banned but so much as banned for breast cancer (it is used for others) because of cardiac issues.
Wasn't this drug banned by the FDA as too expensive ?
