It should be investigated why Aegis did not report this outbreak within the legal time limits-- dozens of people could have been spared this illness had they and the families known of it earlier. Elderly residents could have been removed from the premises, or other precautions could have been taken. Now these people are confined to their rooms with no interaction and no exercise, and cold food.

Why no reporting for almost a week after it was clear this was an outbreak? Many elderly people could have been spared this terrible virus had the facility reported it properly. this should be investigated.

This is why it is important to have a good infection control and monitoring system in place so you can try to recognize a problem when it occurs.
